By long-distance bus (e.g., Flixbus)

Long-distance buses stop at the Bus Terminal in Piazza Partigiani or at Fontivegge. If the bus stops at both locations and you have the option to choose, get off at Piazza Partigiani. From there, head towards the historic center, taking the 4-5 escalator ramps up to the Rocca Paolina.
Once at the top, you’ll find yourself in Piazza Italia. Walk along Corso Vannucci, the main street of the city center, until you reach Fontana Maggiore. From there, continue around the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, keeping it on your right, and take Via Bartolo to reach the property at number 43F.
If the bus only stops at Fontivegge, follow the "By Train" directions.

By Train

Get off at the station "PERUGIA" or "PERUGIA FONTIVEGGE"—it's the same station, but the name may vary depending on announcements or signs. Important! Do not confuse it with "Perugia Ponte San Giovanni" or "Perugia Università," which are different stations and not suitable for your destination! After that, you can reach the property in 4 ways:

  1. Taxi: Outside the station, there are taxis waiting for passengers, and you can approach them directly without prior reservation.

  2. Bus: Outside the station, there are several bus stops. Most buses go to the city center, but the one that involves the least walking is line C. Get off at Piazza Forte Braccio, at the foot of the Etruscan Arch. It's important to be at the right stop, as each line stops at a different platform.

  3. Minimetrò (Light Rail): Outside the station, walk to the left for about 150 meters to reach the minimetrò station, an elevated light rail system. Take the cabin towards Pincetto and get off at the Pincetto terminal. Then take the escalators up and head towards the Cathedral. Walk around it to the right, and take Via Bartolo to reach number 43F.

  4. On Foot: This is the least recommended option but still possible for the more athletic: the property is about 2 km away, but be aware that it's a steep uphill walk, as the historic center is on top of a hill! This option is NOT recommended for those with luggage or who don’t enjoy walking!

By Car

WellStay Perugia Downtown is located in a ZTL (limited traffic zone), so to reach the property, it is recommended to enter "Viale Sant'Antonio" into your GPS. This is the address of a parking lot where you can park without entering the restricted traffic area. The parking lot is called "SABA Parking: Sant'Antonio" and the daily rate is €20 for 24 hours. You can check their website for more information.
After parking, walk uphill for about 250 meters towards the property. During this short walk, you will already have the chance to admire the impressive Etruscan Arch, an ancient Etruscan gate over 2300 years old, which was one of the seven access points to Augusta Perusia, the ancient Perugia.

  • Taxi: Outside the airport, you can take one of the waiting taxis and ask to be taken to Via Bartolo 43/F. The fare should be around €30-35.

  • Bus: The airport offers a shuttle service called AirLink. You can get more information and buy tickets at the airport's internal offices. Once on the bus, follow the directions below in the section "Long-Distance Buses (e.g., Flixbus)."
